RAWL needs volunteers to walk dogs, visit with cats, work in the office, and participate in other RAWL activities and fundraisers.

There are three types of volunteer shifts:

• Dog shifts
• Cat shifts
• Office shifts

Please contact us to find out about volunteering to work a shift. An experienced RAWL volunteer will work with you for a few shifts to make sure you are comfortable with your duties.

Kids Volunteering at RAWL

Kids are often interested in volunteering at RAWL, and it's great for our animals to interact with kids! However, for younger kids, the best option is to have the family volunteer together. Kids 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times while volunteering at RAWL, and when walking dogs, someone over age 14 must have control of the leash. We have a number of families volunteering at RAWL, especially during the summer. It's a fun way to spend time together and we appreciate the help.

Rota Animal Welfare League Board

We always welcome new people to get involved with the Rota Animal Welfare League Board. These are still volunteer positions, but in addition to filling a need, they can look great on a resume.

The Executive Board positions are:

• President
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer

Executive Board members are involved in almost every facet of RAWL; however, we are flexible in regards to your needs and preferences.

If you would like to be more involved but are not interested in an Executive Board position, we also have Chairperson positions available. These positions are more specialized.

Some of the Chairperson positions include:

• Vet Liaison
• Fundraising Coordinator
• Office Manager
• Volunteer Coordinator
• Maintenance Coordinator
• Web Site Coordinator

And if you have a special skill that you think would be helpful and would be a good Chairperson position, let us know!

Other Volunteer Opportunities

If a hands-on shift does not fit your schedule, there are other ways you can help. We have bake sales about every month and need people to bake and to work the tables. We also have periodic yard work and housecleaning days. Let us know if you would like to be contacted about fundraisers or special one-time events.
